How to Post a Status Message
In the status message, you can write your status or current activity. It will display in the Summary of your Application Dashboard. You can post as many Status Messages as you like during your work hours.
Posting a Status Message can be done on both the Desktop App and the Application Dashboard.
On the main header of the Application Dashboard, next to the Cloudica™ logo is the Status Message box. To post a Status Message from the Application Dashboard, do the following:
This tutorial will help you know how to post a status from the dashboard.
Click the Status Message box on the header and a pop-up form will appear.
Click the text box on the form.
Type your status message.
Click the send button.
Your Status message will display in the Summary module below the snapshots.
Note that you can only post a status message when the Application Dashboard is set on the current date.
How to attach files to the Status Message
You can also add files to your Status Message, the file can be a:
Photo
Video
Document
Cloudica™ Data link
To attach a file to the Status Message, do this before posting the message:Photo
Open the Status Message form and type your Status Message.
Click the photo button to add an image.
Drop the image into the form or click the image box to open a file.
Select a photo and upload it.
Video
Open the Status Message form and type your Status Message.
Click the video button to add a video.
Drop the video file into the form or click the box to open a file.
Select a video and upload it.
Document
Open the Status Message form and type your Status Message.
Click the file button to add a document.
Drop the file into the form or click the image box to open a file.
Select the document and upload it.
Cloudica™ Data link
Open the Status Message form and type your Status Message.
Click the cloud button to add a Cloudica™ Data link.
Add the link.
To post your Status Message with an attachment, just click the send button after uploading your attachment. To view the attachment to the Status Message, do the following:
Click the Summary button in the navigation header of the dashboard.
Click the Status Message you posted and the attachment will be displayed on the screen.
Note that when a Status Message has an attachment, it will display in blue font.
How to edit a photo attachment
Before posting an attached photo as part of the Status Message, the image can be edited or annotated first.
After uploading the photo, the image will display below the text box with the Image Edit Settings on the left side of the photo.
The Image Edit Settings consist of:
Title buttonAllows you to add a title to the image.
Annotation buttonLets you add shapes and text to the photo.
Crop buttonLets you crop the image.
Rotate ClockwiseRotates the image clockwise.
Rotate CounterclockwiseRotates the image counterclockwise.
Delete buttonDeletes or removes the image as an attachment.
How to annotate a photo
After uploading a photo, click the Annotation button on the side of the image. The Annotation widget will open with the image.
Use the Shape Tool to add squares or rectangles.
Use the Text Tool to add text to the image.
Click the Done button to save the annotations made.
After the annotation is saved, the Annotation widget will close and the form goes back to the Image Edit Settings.
