App Permission Setup Walkthrough for Mac

Welcome to the comprehensive setup guide for Cloudica™, your ultimate remote work monitoring solution for macOS users. This step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the initial setup process and granting necessary permissions to ensure seamless functionality of the Cloudica™ desktop app on your Mac. Initial App Launch Launch the Cloudica™ Desktop App: Begin by opening the Cloudica™ desktop app. Upon the first launch, you may encounter a security prompt indicating that ‘“cloudica” is an app downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it?’ Simply click the ‘Open’’ button to proceed. Permission Setup 1. Location Services: After the initial launch, Cloudica™ will request permission to access your location for identity verification. To give access, navigate to the Apple menu and select ‘System Preferences.’ From there, click on ‘Security & Privacy’ and select the ‘Privacy’ tab. Click on ‘Location Services’ and ensure Cloudica™ is checked to grant access.  After the app determines your location, click the Next button on the app. 2. Camera Permission: Cloudica™ may require access to your camera. Click the ‘Request Access’ button on the app, and when prompted, grant permission by clicking ‘OK’ or navigating to the Privacy tab of Security & Privacy and checking Cloudica™ under Camera. Note: To make changes to the privacy settings, click the lock and enter your password. Go back to the app and click the Check Again button. Then, click the Next button. The app will take your photo and for this, try to place yourself at the center of the frame. Click the Next button to take a photo and proceed to the next permission setup.  3. Microphone Permission: To monitor idle time, Cloudica™ may request access to your microphone. Grant permission by clicking ‘OK’ when prompted or by checking Cloudica™ under Microphone in the Privacy tab of Security & Privacy. Go back to the app and click the Check Again button. Then, click the Next button.  Try speaking on your mic to check if the app can capture any sound, Then, click the Next button. Note: If the app is not advancing to the next permission access, you may need to restart it to proceed. Simply close and relaunch the app. If a System Preference prompt appears like the one below, you may click the ‘Later’ button to proceed with the permission setup. Clicking the ‘Quit & Reopen’ button will close and restart the Cloudica™ app automatically.   4. Screen Recording Permission: Click ‘Request Access’ to allow Cloudica™ to take screenshots. Grant permission by clicking ‘OK’ when prompted or by checking Cloudica™ under Screen Recording in the Privacy tab. On the app, click the Check Again button or the Next button. 5. Keyboard and Mouse Permission: Grant Cloudica™ access to track keystrokes and computer activity by clicking ‘Request Access.’ Grant permission by clicking ‘OK’ when prompted or by checking Cloudica™ under Accessibility and Input Monitoring in the Privacy tab. Proceed by clicking the Check Again button or the Next button on the Cloudica™ app. 6. Automation Approval: Click ‘Request Access’ to allow Cloudica™ to track applications and URLs. Grant permission by clicking ‘OK’ when prompted or by checking Cloudica™ under Automation in the Privacy tab. Go back to the app and click the Check Again button. Then, click the Next button.  7. Full Disk Access Permission: Grant Cloudica™ permission to save your data by clicking ‘Request Access.’ Grant permission by clicking ‘OK’ when prompted or by checking Cloudica™ under Full Disk Access in the Privacy tab.  Next, click the Check Again button or the Next button on the application. Login and Authentication Once all permissions are granted, proceed to log in to your Cloudica™ account. Enter your username and navigate to your Cloudica™ dashboard to retrieve the authentication code.  1. Visit the Cloudica™ website and log in with your credentials. 2. Grant access to your device from the banner at the top of the page.  3. Retrieve the authentication code from your Cloudica™ dashboard and enter it into the Cloudica™ desktop app. Congratulations!
