Is Employee Monitoring Legal?

Organizations and businesses use different forms of employee monitoring to gather work-related information about their employees during their shifts for protection and productivity. Some of them are clocking-in devices, surveillance cameras, and computer and workstation monitoring.   Employee monitoring is legal and does not violate any privacy guidelines in most jurisdictions. This includes the use of employee monitoring software like Cloudica™ that keeps track of time, screenshots, keystrokes, etc.   It is however advised as employers to disclose to employees the what's and how's of using Cloudica™ and consult your legal counsel for federal or local laws concerning employee monitoring.  Read more about our Privacy Policy.
