How to Search for a Specific User
This guide will help managers learn how to search for a user in the User Management module.
There are several ways to view a certain user’s information. Using the User Search or the search bar of the Dashboard Application is the most convenient way.
The User Search is located at the header of the Dashboard Application.
To use the search function, do the following:
- Click the search bar and type in the name of the user in the input box.
- Matching results will display in the results container and on the Online Users List.
- Click the user you want to view in the search result container.
The User Drawer opens and displays the information about the user. The Org Chart and Network buttons on the left panel of the dashboard are now in the header.
When you search for a user through the search function, the Online Users List is also filtered and shows the same results from the search query. You can use the Online Users List to tell if the user you are looking for is online and what their current Monitoring Status is.
Using the User Box Menu in Virtual Workspace
While in the Virtual Workspace, you can access the User Management information about a user through the User Box Menu.
These options are applicable if the user you are searching for is logged in to the desktop app.
- Click the kebab menu located at the upper right corner of the User Box or right-click anywhere within the displayed Screenshot.
- Click “Go to User’s Settings”.
Using this option lets you navigate to the User Management module through the drawer of a specific user. The drawer here is displayed in its expanded form. To make the drawer smaller, click the Minimize button.
Once you have found the user you are looking for, you can make edits to the user information.
You can change the user’s role or status, edit the first and last name, and assign users to teams.
